TYPES OF HAZARD/ EXPOSURE
ACUTE HAZARDS/ SYMPTOMS
PREVENTION
FIRST AID/ FIRE FIGHTING
FIRE
Combustible.
Gives off irritating or toxic fumes (or gases) in a fire.
NO open flames.
Powder, alcohol-resistant foam, water spray, carbon dioxide.
EXPLOSION
Above 88°C explosive vapour/air mixtures may be formed.
Risk of fire and explosion (see Chemical Dangers).
Above 88°C use a closed system, ventilation.
In case of fire: keep drums, etc., cool by spraying with water.
EXPOSURE
PREVENT GENERATION OF MISTS!
STRICT HYGIENE!
IN ALL CASES CONSULT A DOCTOR!
INHALATION
Blue lips or finger nails.
Blue skin.
Dizziness.
Headache.
Nausea.
Unconsciousness.
Weakness.
Ventilation, local exhaust, or breathing protection.
Fresh air, rest.
Refer for medical attention.
SKIN
MAY BE ABSORBED!
(Further see Inhalation).
Protective gloves.
Protective clothing.
Remove contaminated clothes.
Rinse skin with plenty of water or shower.
Refer for medical attention.
EYES
Safety goggles.

Rest.
Refer for medical attention.
SPILLAGE DISPOSAL
STORAGE
PACKAGING & LABELLING

Absorb remaining liquid in sand or inert absorbent and remove to safe place.
Do NOT absorb in saw-dust or other combustible absorbents
(extra personal protection: complete protective clothing including self-contained breathing apparatus).
Separated from
combustible and reducing substances,
strong oxidants,
