EXPOSURE
PREVENT DISPERSION OF DUST! STRICT HYGIENE! AVOID EXPOSURE OF ADOLESCENTS AND CHILDREN!

  • INHALATION
    		• Blood in the urine. Back pain. Sweet taste in the mouth. Abdominal pain. Dizziness. Drowsiness. Nausea (see Ingestion).
    		Local exhaust or breathing protection.
    		Fresh air, rest. Refer for medical attention. See Notes.
  • SKIN
    		• Rash.
    		Protective gloves.
    		Remove contaminated clothes. Rinse skin with plenty of water or shower. Refer for medical attention.
  • EYES



  • INGESTION
    		• Blue lips or fingernails. Blue skin. Headache. Laboured breathing. Unconsciousness. Vomiting. Weakness. Respiratory arrest (further see Inhalation).
    		Do not eat, drink, or smoke during work. Wash hands before eating.
    		Rinse mouth. Give a slurry of activated charcoal in water to drink. Induce vomiting (ONLY IN CONSCIOUS PERSONS!). Rest. Refer for medical attention. See Notes.
    SPILLAGE DISPOSAL STORAGE PACKAGING & LABELLING
    Do NOT wash away into sewer. Sweep spilled substance into containers; if appropriate, moisten first to prevent dusting. Carefully collect remainder, then remove to safe place (extra personal protection: P2 filter respirator for harmful particles).
    		Provision to contain effluent from fire extinguishing. Separated from food and feedstuffs. Ventilation along the floor.
    		Do not transport with food and feedstuffs.

     COLOURLESS CRYSTALS.

     The substance decomposes on heating producing toxic and corrosive fumes including hydrogen chloride (see ICSC # 0163) and nitrogen oxides. Attacks many metals in presence of water.

    OCCUPATIONAL EXPOSURE LIMITS (OELs):
     TLV not established.


    		ROUTES OF EXPOSURE:
     The substance can be absorbed into the body by inhalation and by ingestion.

    INHALATION RISK:
     A harmful contamination of the air will not or will only very slowly be reached on evaporation of this substance at 20°C; on spraying or dispersing, however, much faster.

    EFFECTS OF SHORT-TERM EXPOSURE:
     The substance may cause effects on the nervous system and blood , resulting in impaired functions and formation of methaemoglobin. The substance may cause effects on the bladder and kidneys, resulting in bladder irritation and blood in the urine. The effects may be delayed. Medical observation is indicated.

     Repeated or prolonged contact with skin may cause dermatitis.

    N O T E S
    If the pesticide is present under the form of a formulation containing hydrocarbon solvents, vomiting may not be induced. Depending on the degree of exposure, periodic medical examination is indicated. Specific treatment is necessary in case of poisoning with this substance; the appropriate means with instructions must be available. Carrier solvents used in commercial formulations may change physical and toxicological properties. Bermat, ENT-27567, EP-333, Fundal SP, Fundex, Galecron SP, NSC 195102, Schering 36268 and Spanone are trade names. If the pesticide is formulated with an organic solvent, also consult the ICSC of the solvent used.
