  • INHALATION
    		• Confusion. Dizziness. Headache. Vomiting. Weakness. Irritability. Tremors. Paresthesia.
    		Local exhaust or breathing protection.
    		Fresh air, rest. Refer for medical attention.
  • SKIN
    		• MAY BE ABSORBED! Redness.
    		Protective gloves. Protective clothing.
    		Remove contaminated clothes. Rinse and then wash skin with water and soap. Refer for medical attention.
  • EYES
    		• Redness.
    		Safety goggles or eye protection in combination with breathing protection if powder.
    		First rinse with plenty of water for several minutes (remove contact lenses if easily possible), then take to a doctor.
  • INGESTION
    		• Dizziness. Drowsiness. Laboured breathing. Vomiting. Tremors. Muscles spasms. Convulsions. Depression.
    		Do not eat, drink, or smoke during work.
    		Rinse mouth. Give a slurry of activated charcoal in water to drink. Induce vomiting (ONLY IN CONSCIOUS PERSONS!). Rest. Refer for medical attention.
    SPILLAGE DISPOSAL STORAGE PACKAGING & LABELLING
    Do NOT wash away into sewer. Sweep spilled substance into containers. Carefully collect remainder, then remove to safe place (extra personal protection: P3 filter respirator for toxic particles).
    		Separated from strong bases, food and feedstuffs.
    		Do not transport with food and feedstuffs.

     WHITE TO BROWNISH FLAKES OR POWDER (DEPENDING ON ISOMERIC COMPOSITION) , WITH CHARACTERISTIC ODOUR.

    CHEMICAL DANGERS:
     The substance decomposes on heating or on burning producing highly toxic fumes (phosgene - ICSC 0007, chlorine - ICSC 0126 and hydrogen chloride - ICSC 0163), and on contact with alkalis.

    OCCUPATIONAL EXPOSURE LIMITS (OELs):
     TLV (as gamma-isomer): ppm; 0.5 mg/m3 (skin) (ACGIH 1991-1992).


    		ROUTES OF EXPOSURE:
     The substance can be absorbed into the body by inhalation of its aerosol, through the skin and by ingestion.

    INHALATION RISK:
     Evaporation at 20°C is negligible; a harmful concentration of airborne particles can, however, be reached quickly by dispersion.

    EFFECTS OF SHORT-TERM EXPOSURE:
     The substance irritates the eyes, the skin and the respiratory tract. The substance may cause effects on the central nervous system. The effects may be delayed. See Notes.

    EFFECTS OF LONG-TERM OR REPEATED EXPOSURE:
     Repeated or prolonged contact with skin may cause dermatitis. The substance may have effects on the central nervous system, bone marrow, liver, sex hormones and genital system. This substance is possibly carcinogenic to humans. Animal tests show that this substance possibly causes toxic effects upon human reproduction.

    Boiling point, melting point and vapour pressure are depending on isomeric composition. Depending on the degree of exposure, periodic medical examination is indicated. The symptoms of convulsions do not become manifest until O,5 to several hours. Carrier solvents used in commercial formulations may change physical and toxicological properties. Do NOT take working clothes home.
