FIRE Liquid formulations containing organic solvents may be flammable. Gives off irritating or toxic fumes (or gases) in a fire.

Alcohol-resistant foam, dry sand, powder, carbon dioxide.
EXPLOSION Risk of fire and explosion if formulations contain flammable/explosive solvents.

PREVENT DISPERSION OF DUST! STRICT HYGIENE!
IN ALL CASES CONSULT A DOCTOR!
  • INHALATION
    		• Burning sensation. Convulsions. Cough. Laboured breathing. Shortness of breath. Sore throat.
    		Local exhaust, or breathing protection.
    		Fresh air, rest.
  • SKIN
    		• Redness. Pain.
    		Protective clothing.
    		Remove contaminated clothes. Rinse and then wash skin with water and soap.
  • EYES
    		• Redness. Pain.
    		Safety spectacles.
    		First rinse with plenty of water for several minutes (remove contact lenses if easily possible), then take to a doctor.
  • INGESTION
    		• Abdominal pain. Cough.
    		Do not eat, drink, or smoke during work. Wash hands before eating.
    		Do NOT induce vomiting. Refer for medical attention.
    SPILLAGE DISPOSAL STORAGE PACKAGING & LABELLING
    Do NOT wash away into sewer. Sweep spilled substance into sealable containers. Carefully collect remainder, then remove to safe place (extra personal protection: P3 filter respirator for toxic particles).
    		Provision to contain effluent from fire extinguishing. Separated from food and feedstuffs. Cool. Keep in a well-ventilated room.
    		Do not transport with food and feedstuffs.

     The substance irritates the eyes, the skin and the respiratory tract. The substance may cause effects on the peripheral nervous system , resulting in convulsions, ataxia.

         		The substance is very toxic to aquatic organisms. The substance may be hazardous to the environment; special attention should be given to mammals and honey bees. The substance may cause long-term effects in the aquatic environment. Avoid release to the environment in circumstances different to normal use.

    Liquid formulation can be aspired into the lungs resulting in chemical pneumonitis, showing tremors and convultions. If the substance is formulated with solvent(s) also consult the card(s) (ICSC) of the solvent(s). Carrier solvents used in commercial formulations may change physical and toxicological properties. Do NOT take working clothes home. The recommendations on this Card also apply to cyhalothrin.
