PREVENT DISPERSION OF DUST! AVOID EXPOSURE OF (PREGNANT) WOMEN! AVOID EXPOSURE OF ADOLESCENTS AND CHILDREN!

  • INHALATION
    		• Dizziness. Sweating. Laboured breathing. Unconsciousness. Vomiting. Pupillary constriction, muscle cramp, excessive salivation.
    		Avoid inhalation of fine dust and mist. Ventilation (not if powder), local exhaust, or breathing protection.
    		Fresh air, rest. Refer for medical attention.
  • SKIN
    		• MAY BE ABSORBED!
    		Protective gloves. Protective clothing.
    		Remove contaminated clothes. Rinse and then wash skin with water and soap. Refer for medical attention.
  • EYES

    		• Face shield or eye protection in combination with breathing protection if powder.
    		First rinse with plenty of water for several minutes (remove contact lenses if easily possible), then take to a doctor.
  • INGESTION
    		• Abdominal cramps. Diarrhoea. Nausea. Vomiting. Pupillary constriction, muscle cramps, excessive salivation.
    		Do not eat, drink, or smoke during work. Wash hands before eating.
    		Induce vomiting (ONLY IN CONSCIOUS PERSONS!). Refer for medical attention.
    SPILLAGE DISPOSAL STORAGE PACKAGING & LABELLING
    Do NOT wash away into sewer. Sweep spilled substance into sealable containers; if appropriate, moisten first to prevent dusting. Carefully collect remainder, then remove to safe place (extra personal protection: P2 filter respirator for harmful particles).
    		Separated from strong oxidants, food and feedstuffs.
    		Do not transport with food and feedstuffs.

     WHITE POWDER.

     The substance decomposes on heating producing toxic fumes of hydrogen chloride, phosphorous oxides and sulfur oxides.

    OCCUPATIONAL EXPOSURE LIMITS (OELs):
     TLV: ppm; 10 mg/m3 (as TWA) (ACGIH 1995-1996).
    OSHA PEL: TWA 15 mg/m3
    NIOSH REL: TWA 10 mg/m3
    NIOSH IDLH: 300 mg/m3


    		ROUTES OF EXPOSURE:
     The substance can be absorbed into the body by inhalation of its aerosol, through the skin and by ingestion.

    INHALATION RISK:
     Evaporation at 20°C is negligible; a nuisance-causing concentration of airborne particles can, however, be reached quickly on spraying or when dispersed, especially if powdered.

    EFFECTS OF SHORT-TERM EXPOSURE:
     The substance may cause effects on the nervous system , resulting in convulsions. Cholinesterase inhibitor. The effects may be delayed. Medical observation is indicated.

    EFFECTS OF LONG-TERM OR REPEATED EXPOSURE:
     Animal tests show that this substance possibly causes malformations in human babies.

    DATA
         		The substance is very toxic to aquatic organisms. In the food chain important to humans, bioaccumulation takes place, specifically in fish. Avoid release to the environment in circumstances different to normal use.

    Temperature of decomposition unknown in literature. Depending on the degree of exposure, periodic medical examination is indicated. Carrier solvents used in commercial formulations may change physical and toxicological properties. Do NOT take working clothes home. Ectoral, Trolene, Viozene, Nankor and Korlan are trade names.
