Powder, carbon dioxide.
EXPLOSION Finely dispersed particles form explosive mixtures in air. Risk of fire and explosion as a result of polymerization reactions.
Prevent deposition of dust; closed system, dust explosion-proof electrical equipment and lighting.
In case of fire: cool drums, etc., by spraying with water but avoid contact of the substance with water.
EXPOSURE
STRICT HYGIENE!

  • INHALATION
    		• Burning sensation. Cough. Sore throat.
    		Local exhaust or breathing protection.
    		Fresh air, rest. Refer for medical attention.
  • SKIN
    		• Redness.
    		Protective gloves. Protective clothing.
    		Remove contaminated clothes. Rinse skin with plenty of water or shower.
  • EYES
    		• Redness. Pain.
    		Safety goggles, or eye protection in combination with breathing protection.
    		First rinse with plenty of water for several minutes (remove contact lenses if easily possible), then take to a doctor.
  • INGESTION
    		• Abdominal pain. Nausea. Sore throat. Vomiting.
    		Do not eat, drink, or smoke during work.
    		Rinse mouth. Refer for medical attention.
    SPILLAGE DISPOSAL STORAGE PACKAGING & LABELLING
    Collect leaking and spilled liquid in sealable containers as far as possible. Sweep spilled substance into containers. Do NOT absorb in saw-dust or other combustible absorbents (extra personal protection: A/P2 filter respirator for organic vapour and harmful dust).
    		Separated from strong oxidants, bases. Cool. Dry. Store only if stabilized.
    		Airtight.

     PALE YELLOW LIQUID OR YELLOW CRYSTALS.

    PHYSICAL DANGERS:
     The vapour is heavier than air. Dust explosion possible if in powder or granular form, mixed with air.

    CHEMICAL DANGERS:
     The substance may polymerize quickly on standing or under the influence of water, base(s) and temperatures above 50°C with fire or explosion hazard. The substance is a strong reducing agent and reacts violently with oxidants. The solution in water is a weak acid.

     The substance can be absorbed into the body by inhalation of its vapour or its aerosol, and by ingestion.

    INHALATION RISK:
     A harmful contamination of the air can be reached very quickly on evaporation of this substance at 20°C.

    EFFECTS OF SHORT-TERM EXPOSURE:
     The substance irritates the eyes, the skin and the respiratory tract.

    EFFECTS OF LONG-TERM OR REPEATED EXPOSURE:
     Repeated or prolonged contact may cause skin sensitization. May cause genetic damage in humans.
